Feedback and development
This is my submission for Writing for Interactive Narratives, Sem 2, 2021.
I had my brother playtest an earlier version during development, here is his feedback:
- Liked the concept
- Matched his sense of humour and expectations (in a good way)
- Good timing with some of the appearing text
- Many choices
- Too many dead ends
- Obviously unfinished
In Version 02, I have updated some of the story lines. However, due to time constraints I tried to tie the ends up quicker than I originally wanted. More of the paths end up in the same place. I removed some of the choices that were unfinished and/or uninteresting. And I put in the option to restart at all of the endings.
I want to eventually develop this so that all of the potential paths lead to different endings, perhaps about three. And have deeper character development and more lore drops so that the overall story feels more cohesive and satisfying.
